The people living in the Mekong region are relatively much poorer compared to the main, bigger cities of Ho Chi Minh and Vung Tau.
The children are more carefree and engage in multitude of outdoor sports and activities, like swimming in the river, or like the kids here, flying kites.
Contrast this to children of metropolitan cities like Singapore, where kids spend their free time twiddling their thumbs over the latest consoles.
