Tajmasago Palace – Travel Thursday

Tajmasago Palace Restaurant, Phu My Hung, D7, HCMC

I attended a wedding dinner in HCMC last weekend.  The dinner was held at the Tajmasago Palace Restaurant in Phu My Hung, District 7.

It is a grand restaurant with various pools and fountains in the courtyard.  It also houses a hotel for guests who wish to spend the night.

I was told that this restaurant was built by the owner of Khai Silk.

I noticed a couple posing for their pre-wedding shoot and took a pot shot of my own.

Vincom Centre – Travel Thursday

Vincom Centre and the Saigon Opera House

Vincom Centre is a new shopping arcade by Vincom group, one of the big property moguls in Vietnam.  They also have a retro, pseudo-Victorian bent towards their architectural style.

Here in the foreground is the courtyard of Vincom Centre facing Le Loi Boulevard and in the background is the Saigon Opera House.
