Travel Thursday – Tam Coc river

Most people are only aware of the limestone formation in Ha Long Bay. However, much of northern Vietnam down to the central region is limestone, resulting in spectacular limestone formations and caves even inland.
One other famous limestone scenery is Tam Coc (3 Caves) in Ninh Binh Province, sometimes known as the Ha Long Bay of the Land.
Here is a panorama of a view on the river boat ride, showing the beautiful mountain formations rising above the river dotted by lotus.
