Wildlife Wednesday – crab balls

201110 VT Back Beach-158, originally uploaded by anthonli.

Over at the back beach in Vung Tau, and all along the coastal region, there are many small crabs, most no larger than 1 cm wide. During the low tide, they’ll create burrows in the sand by removing rolled up balls of sand and littering the mouth of their burrows with them.
I’m sure they’ll be champs in any snowman making competition!
