Travel Thursday – The Altar

201110 VT Back Beach-247, originally uploaded by anthonli.

I’ve written about a temple on an island off the coast opposite of the Small Mountain (the one with the Jesus Christ statue).
One weekend, when the tide was right, I managed to make my way to the island. This is the interior of the temple. Here, devotees would cast lots which will foretell their future.

  1. this photo might have been boring, but the wide-angle lens really makes the photo exciting.

    • Thanks Daniel. There are two ways to go about it really, one is to take in everything with a wide-angle, the other is to focus on the details. I didn’t want to show disrespect for the worshippers, so I went for the former.

      • and right you were to do so 🙂 I take wayy too many close ups myself…but then I don’t have an ultra wide lens either.
