Travel Thursday – Vung Tau Boats in the sunset

VT Boats in the sunset, originally uploaded by anthonli.

Vung Tau, can be literally translated as Anchorage. It’s known as the place to take boats, also in the aftermath of the Vietnam War, the launching ground of the Vietnamese Boat People.
Today, many fishing boats dot the shoreline, as well as tugs and service boats to the nearby oil rigs. Obsessionally, you can see a big container vessel waiting for berthing here.
