Phong Nha Cave is situated in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park.
The name of the cave literally translates into room of teeth, which describes the various caverns of stalactites and stalagmites.
There are almost 300 caves scattered around the National Park, which stretches to the Laos border, but only this cave is open to public.
It’s touted as the most beautiful cave among the various complexes, but in my opinion, the beauty is marred by the artificial neon coloured lights. Personally, I’d prefer a more natural coloured light to bring out the shape and texture of the caverns and structures.
