Travel Thursday – Boiling Eggs at Binh Chau Hot Springs

On boxing day, I took a 2-hour drive up to Binh Chau Hot Springs Resort. It is a pretty laid back and relaxing place, which is good for picnics. Most attractions resemble Sentosa‘s in the 1970’s or the kiddy rides at the Singapore night markets.
The main attraction are the many small pools with egg-shaped structures where you can boil eggs (you’ll have to buy them from the shop in the area) in the hot spring water (measuring 82 degrees Celsius).
Other stuff of interest is the 37 degree foot baths and a family bathing pool. The natural occurring springs, which a wooden pathway snakes through measures around 60 degrees Celsius.
