Travel Thursday – The Lantern Festival

Today is the Harvest moon, according to western tradition, the day when Autumn starts in earnest. According to the Chinese Lunar Calendar, it is the day after Mid-Autumn Festival.
This festival is celebrated by many Chinese around the world and in many countries that have had strong Chinese influence in their past.
Here are some traditional paper lanterns on display for sale in District 5, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

    • Thanks. It has the combination of lights and people. Makes for great effects. Unfortunately it tends to be at night so slower shutter speed or high ISO is needed.
