This is the 8th month according to the Lunar Calendar. The middle of the month is generally known as the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is celebrated in many parts of the world with significant Chinese influence. Vietnam is one of them.
Last weekend, I went to District 5, the famed Chinatown to soak in the atmosphere. The hallmark of Mid-Autumn are mooncakes and, of course, paper lanterns.
