I was drinking at this roadside stall on Saturday when I took this photo of the old lady with her young helper making sugar cane juice.
Sugar cane juice in Vietnam is slightly different from those you get in Singapore. Firstly, it’s always mixed with calamansi, secondly, it’s drinked with preserved orange peels added in. This gives it a sour twist but is still thirst quenching.
